Roy Williams Tie Watch - UNC

I want to preface this blog by saying that I love Roy and I wouldn't trade him for ANY other coach. He is an awesome, down to earth guy with a huge heart of gold (even in comparison to Dickie "dollar bill" Baddour's necklace -see below). You know you've got it good when you can nitpick over his tie selection, right? He gives me so much good material. I mean these ties are so bad, you really can't help but to be distracted, amused and a little horrified at the wretchedness of his tie selection.

Another one for the ages (Roy Tie Watch 2007)

I have to say that in my opinion, this one is not as bad as some others have said. I know that Rachel was not a big fan (and even text messaged me before I got to the game to warn me about it). But I don't think this is such a terrible-looking tie. Although it might be a good idea to pop on your Ray-Bans before staring at it for too long. And UNC did pull out the win... so maybe Roy will start wearing this one more often as a good luck tie.

I too have noticed a correlation between bad ties and bad games. It's just a hunch we'll have to follow through the season. Do you happen to have a photo of the tie he was wearing for ouur loss to Virginia Tech?

Roy Tie Watch 2007

Does anyone else think the parade of bad ties Roy Williams has been wearing is a cry for help? The worst of these is, of course, the burgundy tie with pheasants. It's time for a tie intervention.

I'd like to post pictures of Roy's bad tie choices, but they are hard to find online. If you've been to a game and caught a pic of one, please post it.
